Gasthaus Thaller
– warm Austrian hospitality
Gasthaus Thaller is located in the picturesque southern Styrian village of St. Veit am Vogau, directly opposite the imposing parish church, which, like a guardian of the past, gently watches over the landscape. This family-run inn with over a century of tradition carries the warmth of home-cooked food, a sustainable philosophy and charm – with organic vegetables from its own garden, a pond and the sincere friendliness of the Thaller family.
When we step through the main entrance into the old town's arched hallway, something special awaits us on the left - a glass wine display case , which is not just an exhibition space, but a magical introduction to the world of wine.
Its background gently shines from silk crystal glass in the color of light amber. The warmth of this light is intertwined with the reflections of the mirrors in the floor, creating the illusion of infinity - as if the display case reaches into the depths of an endless cellar. Metal shelves combined with light oak under discreet indirect lighting add a sense of easy elegance, while emphasizing the nobility of each bottle individually.
But the real secret of the display case lies behind its doors: when we open them, the path leads us to an underground wine cellar with a fountain. There, an infinity of natural wine flavors unfolds - a place where tradition, nature, and a modern understanding of wine meet.
The Gasthaus Thaller wine cabinet is more than just a wine keeper - it is a symbolic portal that takes the visitor from the outside world to the intimate heart of the Thaller Inn.
